Regional theme and cooking class

Conversation class based on food vlogs exploring the histories and foods of one region of the Spanish speaking world Monday 23 February, 2, 9, 16 March (no class 23 March) 6.45-8.15pm and immersive cooking class Monday and 30 March with local cook 6-9pm.

How you will learn

- Converse in Spanish as you enjoy relaxed activities or games. Conversation topics set by the weekly theme and video or podcast resource (Topic examples: Social justice, Lockdown experiences, music, short films, breaking the ice).

- 5 weekly classes: four themed conversations and one immersive activity.

- Learn 15-20 new words listed per week through our app.

- Complete a listening comprehension worksheet at home before each class. Includes links to short film, documentary or podcast to explore before the night.

-Focus on different language aims within the class each week: social reactions; connectives; verb tenses; expressions.

What you will leave with

  • Build speaking confidence.

  • Broaden your vocabulary, expressions and sentence building with connectives.

  • gain clarity on how to apply the past tenses in the context of conversation.

FAQs

What if I can´t make every class of the season?

Any dates you miss you will have the chance to submit a catch up audio task for teacher feedback.

What is the level?

The level ranges from the common European A2 to B1 for those from six months of study to early intermediate of up to two years of study. You will work with people of different levels. You will get crib sheets for support.

Can I consume my own drink?

Yes in fact we encourage you to bring your own bottle to add to the relaxed atmosphere.
